Notes: (1) Some vertical lines don't appear on the TV screen and are part of the sync pulse. They appear in column one, while the visible lines are listed in column two. Since it takes a pixel to make a line, one could substitute the word pixel for line in column two.

(2)Fields per second means the image is interlaced (even scan lines in one picture, odd ones in the next). Frames per second means the image is progressively scanned; all the scan lines appear in each picture.
